Paris

The capital of light — museums, boulevards and palace gardens

Paris is the natural start to a French holiday. In a single weekend you can walk the Louvre, climb Montmartre, cruise the Seine and dine in a Michelin-starred bistro; with a little more time, Versailles, Giverny and Disneyland Paris are easy day trips. We use it as a hub for art, fashion, gastronomy and the first chapter of a longer France itinerary.

Plan Paris with us

We book the tours, the château or villa, the driver and the tables — one plan, one point of contact.

Know before you go

Best time to visit

April–June and September–November for mild weather and long evenings. July and August are busy but lively; December is magical for Christmas markets.

Getting there & around

CDG and Orly airports link to the city by RER and dedicated trains. The Metro, buses and Vélib bikes cover the centre; we recommend walking within each arrondissement.

Where to stay

Boutique hotels in the Marais or Saint-Germain, or a private apartment near the Eiffel Tower for families and longer stays.

Eating & drinking

Café terraces, bistros, wine bars, pâtisseries and the city's strongest fine-dining scene — reservations are essential for sought-after tables.

Local tips

  • Book major museums and monuments at least a week ahead in peak season.
  • Many restaurants close Sunday night and Monday; plan accordingly.
  • The first Sunday of the month offers free entry to several national museums.
